Combination TechnicianVisionary Broadband seeks a qualified individual to fill the role of Combination Technician. This full-time, hourly position will join the Fiber Drop crew(s) at Visionary Broadband, a division of Visionary Communications, Inc., one of the top service providers in the region. This position will be based out of our Cheyenne, WY location.Wage Range: $23.50-25.00/hourDuties and Responsibilities: Underground DropSafely and efficiently install underground cables in residential and commercial environments.Use best practices for installing underground wiring so as not to violate local building codes.Operate various trenching equipment such as a mini skid steer or walk beside trencher.Locate existing buried copper and fiber facilities and comply with 811 requirements (OneCall) before any digging projects, properly identifying other utility flags and safely working around other utilities.Load reel trailers with strand, fiber or cable as required.Bury cable and conduit systems, by operating blowing, plowing, digging, boring, and trenching equipment and pulling fiber and cable through conduit systems.Overhead DropSafely and efficiently install overhead cables in residential and commercial environments.Use best practices for installing underground wiring so as not to violate local codes and regulations or customer specs.Load reel trailers with strand, fiber or cable as required.Hang overhead cable or strand using various methods including but not limited to a ladder, bucket truck, or gaffs.Pull fiber and cable through conduit systemsTower TechnicianInstall equipment on TowerAssembling electronic equipment in racks/cabinets, plumbing all RF, wiringTelecom Installation of RF/ground/power/telecommunications cabling.Completion of client and company checklists, photos, and test results typically communicated to management (emails, uploads to FTP, Web Interface, etc.)Maintain network documentation with a very high level of accuracyCompleting work that is assigned while on 24-hour "on call" duty to resolve any tower-related or customer issues Qualifications:A qualified candidate must possess the following skills, or have equivalent experience and/or qualifications:A valid driver's license and be insurable to drive a company vehicle is required.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Good knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, as well as ability to quickly learn and work within proprietary computer applications.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated problem solving abilitiesFlexibility to work outside of standard 8am-5pm hours and be willing to travel on a weekly basis. Must be willing to travel within the region (Montana, Wyoming and Colorado) 30-50% of the time (hotels and per diem paid for out of town travel).
