Overview

The Claims Analyst is responsible for the accurate processing of medical, dental, and vision claims in accordance with relevant policies and coding standards. This role emphasizes excellent communication skills and professionalism in interactions with co-workers, providers, and participants.

Key responsibilities

  • Process claims for active members and retirees according to plan provisions and policies
  • Review claims for coding accuracy and identify potential miscoding or billing issues
  • Respond to inquiries about eligibility, benefits, claim status, and plan procedures
  • Manage multiple deadlines while ensuring high production and compliance standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulations including HIPAA and ERISA
  • Perform related duties and special projects to support department objectives
