Overview

Northwest Specialty Hospital is looking for a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join their Northwest Pediatrics team in Coeur D Alene, Idaho. The role involves patient care tasks under the supervision of the Practice Manager, including monitoring vital signs, administering injections, and assisting with medical procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Room patients and record vital signs
  • Administer injections and perform venipuncture
  • Conduct urinalysis and EKG testing
  • Set up and clean up procedure rooms for in-office procedures
  • Discard biohazard and sharps waste properly
  • Stock medical supplies
  • Demonstrate aseptic technique and knowledge of standard precautions
  • Participate in goal-setting and educational activities

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with active certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Knowledge of EKGs, urinalysis, and venipuncture
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Understanding of cleaning standards and procedures
