Overview

The CDL Class A Delivery Truck Driver role at PFG Customized involves delivering food and food-related products to customers across various routes while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. This position is crucial in supporting the food supply chain and involves direct interaction with customers, building lasting relationships and ensuring timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on local and OTR routes.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Perform safety checks on vehicle and adhere to DOT regulations.
  • Inspect and verify delivery loads, ensuring proper documentation and invoicing.
  • Unload products and transport items into customer storage areas.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment for equipment and premises.
  • Complete daily logs of hours and activities as per DOT and company guidelines.

Required skills

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • 12+ months of commercial driving experience
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
  • Ability to lift and move freight of varying sizes and weights
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures
  • Ability to pass drug tests and background checks
