Overview

The CDL Class A Delivery Truck Driver plays a critical role in delivering food and food-related products to customers, ensuring timely and safe transportation while building lasting relationships with clients. This position involves driving on various routes, adhering to safety regulations, and maintaining company standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on designated routes for delivery
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers
  • Perform pre/post trip safety checks and inspections as per DOT regulations
  • Report safety issues and conduct damage control checks
  • Ensure accurate paperwork and invoicing for deliveries
  • Unload products and transport items to designated customer storage areas
  • Secure all equipment and complete daily records in compliance with regulations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Required skills

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • 12+ months of commercial driving experience
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Ability to lift and move products of varying weight
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety guidelines
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
