Overview

As a Caregiver at Stratford Court of Palm Harbor, you will be a vital member of the team, dedicated to enhancing the lives of residents through quality care. Your role will involve assisting residents with daily activities and ensuring their needs are met in a compassionate and responsive manner.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Engage residents in conversation and activities while providing personal care.
  • Respond promptly to resident needs and requests for care.
  • Assist in the dining room during meal times.
  • Encourage participation in scheduled activities and outings.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the community, including resident rooms.
  • Assist with resident laundry as per shift guidelines.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting.
  • Effective communication in English with residents and staff.
  • Ability to pass necessary tests (CPR, First Aid, Food Handlers) as required.
