Overview

GeoStabilization International (GSI) is seeking a Business Development Manager in Tallahassee, Florida, to drive growth through identifying and securing geohazard mitigation projects. The role blends technical insight with relationship management, focusing on building trust with key decision-makers across various markets.

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively identify high-potential opportunities in the heavy civil market within Florida.
  • Build trust-based relationships with key decision-makers, consultants, and influencers.
  • Present technical concepts and solutions that resonate with client needs.
  • Attend local industry events, trade shows, and network to uncover opportunities.
  • Collaborate on proposals, budgets, and delivery plans across departments.
  • Maintain and grow account relationships through client-specific pursuit plans.
  • Support sales and engineering teams by sharing market insights and leads.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in technical sales or business development roles
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Experience with cost estimation and design/build models
  • Understanding of construction field practices and heavy equipment
  • Prior CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
