Job Description

Overview

Soleil Academy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Intervention Implementer (BII) to work with school-aged students under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The BII will focus on implementing behavior intervention plans and providing direct support to help students achieve their educational goals, contributing to a structured learning environment that promotes positive behavior and academic success.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement ABA treatment methodologies and behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision
  • Provide direct support to assigned students to achieve individualized behavior education goals
  • Assist teachers in maintaining a conducive learning environment and support classroom instruction
  • Gather data and case notes on behaviors and skill targets as described in IEPs
  • Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed
  • Report student progress and challenges to teachers and school personnel
  • Prepare educational materials to support specialized learning for students with disabilities
  • Attend meetings and professional development sessions
  • Contribute to the school community by engaging with faculty, staff, and parents
  • Complete clerical duties related to classroom activities

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of higher education or equivalent experience as a special education or behavioral aide
  • At least 1 year of classroom experience as a Special Education Aide or Behavioral Aide
  • Basic knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to engage with students in various school settings
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities and intervention methodologies
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and growth mindset
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred
