Heard & Smith, LLP is seeking a licensed full-time Associate Disability Attorney to join their team, which focuses on helping clients regain financial stability through Social Security Disability claims. With over 35 years of experience, the firm prides itself on a client-centric approach and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in clients' lives.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding disability claims
  • Prepare and represent clients at disability hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges
  • Conduct legal writing at the ALJ and Appeals Council levels
  • Communicate with clients via telephone, mail, and email throughout the disability process
  • Travel to hearings in various cities and states

Required skills

  • Attorney License
  • 1-3+ years of experience in Social Security Disability Law
  • Experience with at least 200 Social Security hearings
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Reliability and dependability
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Fast internet connection and a suitable home office setup
