Job Description

Overview

The Associate Director of Medical Communications and Publications at Genmab will lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) publication plans across therapeutic areas. This role requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality scientific publications that align with the global value strategy and respond to the healthcare landscape.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and lead global/regional publication strategies and initiatives including abstracts, congress presentations, and manuscripts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute the medical communication plan.
  • Serve as a therapy area and product expert for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop scientific content in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Manage the annual budget and ensure accurate submission of contracts, SOWs, and invoices.
  • Liaise with agency/vendor partners to ensure timely and quality publication deliveries.
  • Improve departmental SOPs and processes to meet organizational goals.

Required skills

  • Advanced degree: PharmD, PhD, DrPH or MPH
  • Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) certification desirable
  • 5+ years in medical publications within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Knowledge of HEOR/RWE publications and economic modeling
  • Experience in scientific publication strategy and execution
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrix team environment
  • In-depth understanding of good publication practices and guidance
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 20% of the time
