Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea & BenMaier PLLC is a defense law firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join their rapidly growing team in Chicago. The role involves assisting with Defense Base Act claims through legal analysis, drafting documents, and client communication.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with docket involving Defense Base Act claims
  • Provide legal analysis and draft petitions
  • Communicate with clients, Department of Labor, and opposing counsel
  • Review and summarize claims documents including medical records and incident reports
  • Participate in conferences with the Department of Labor to address issues
  • Analyze files to determine likelihood of recovery and necessary documentation
