Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea & BenMaier PLLC is a rapidly growing defense law firm seeking Associate Attorneys to support their Chicago office. The role primarily involves assisting with Defense Base Act claims, including legal analysis, client communication, and documentation review.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with Defense Base Act claims by providing legal analysis and drafting petitions
  • Communicate with clients, Department of Labor, and opposing counsel
  • Review and summarize claims documents, including medical records and incident reports
  • Conduct legal analysis of files to determine recovery likelihood and necessary documentation
  • Participate in conferences with the Department of Labor regarding file resolution
