Overview

The Application Engineer at Clemco Industries Corp. supports sales, engineering, and end-users by offering technical expertise in abrasive air blast processes and equipment selection. This role evaluates customer applications to recommend appropriate blasting media, equipment, and processes, ensuring solutions meet specific requirements and production targets.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the sales and engineering teams with technical expertise.
  • Evaluate customer applications and recommend blasting media and equipment.
  • Communicate recommendations through proposals and GA drawings.
  • Participate in opportunity management and customer interactions.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop project estimates and proposals aligned with strategic markets.
  • Act as a change agent for continuous improvement.
  • Promote transparency and uphold company values in all interactions.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
  • 3+ years' experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to read technical specifications.
  • Experience writing proposals and estimating costs for custom equipment solutions.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Understanding of abrasive blasting products and surface preparation.
