Overview

ReGeneration Schools is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for K-8 Grades to join their Cincinnati, Ohio campuses for the 2026-27 school year. The role involves providing academic, emotional, and physical support to students with additional needs, ensuring they thrive according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to educational excellence and collaboration.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards
  • Set achievable goals for individualized education plans (IEP)
  • Develop draft IEPs for initial students with disabilities and conduct annual reviews
  • Provide support to paraprofessionals in special education settings
  • Design and use assessments to measure student progress
  • Collaborate with the school team to support students' instructional and social needs
  • Work with fellow teachers to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Suggest accommodations or interventions for students in the RTI process
  • Model and promote appropriate student behaviors
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Reflect on teaching practices and implement improvements
  • Participate in mandatory summer orientation and training

Required skills

  • Valid Special Education Teacher Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • 1-5 years of teaching experience
  • Strong content knowledge in academic subjects
  • Experience with behavioral interventions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Creativity and initiative in teaching methods
