The Okonite Company was founded in 1878, making it one of the original insulators of electrical wire and cable in the United States. The company became employee-owned in June 1976, giving employees a vested interest in the quality and service provided. Today, Okonite has six manufacturing facilities producing a wide range of cables for various markets including Electric Utility, Oil & Gas, and Chemical industries.
