Job Description

Overview

The Youth Pastor/Director at First Christian Church in Geary, Oklahoma will focus on leading youth in grades 6-12 and fostering a comprehensive family ministry program. This full-time role includes engaging with the local community, leading youth activities, overseeing children's ministry, and supporting the spiritual growth of the youth and their families.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop Christ-centered relationships with youth and their families
  • Plan and lead youth activities including Bible studies, community outreach, and mission projects
  • Support youth extracurricular activities and provide pastoral care
  • Teach Sunday School classes and assist in curriculum development
  • Interact with children's ministry to facilitate connections for younger students
  • Preach occasionally on Sundays as needed
  • Support the Senior Pastor in service planning and outreach
  • Recruit and develop adult leadership for family ministries
  • Communicate upcoming activities and events effectively

  • Ability to develop engaging learning experiences for students
  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Bachelor's degree in theology or related field preferred
