Overview

Carondelet Holy Cross Hospital is seeking a Full-Time MRI Technologist to operate magnetic resonance scanners and obtain diagnostic images for physicians. The hospital's commitment to community care and meaningful connections fosters an enriching environment for healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain diagnostic images.
  • Prepares and positions patients for imaging procedures.
  • Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education.
  • Monitors and enters patient data, transfers images, and develops film.
  • Follows radiation safety procedures and promotes MR safety.
  • Starts intravenous access and performs intravenous injections.
  • Maintains proper oxygen therapy and adjusts flow as needed.
  • Recognizes and responds to emergencies and life-threatening situations.

Required skills

  • ARRT-MR certification or ability to obtain within 2 years
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology or MRI program
  • Preferred: One year of experience as an MR Technologist
