Overview

The Welder at Sherman and Reilly Inc. is responsible for setting up equipment and performing welding operations according to specified drawings and quality standards. The role includes inspection of parts, maintenance of tools, and various assembly tasks, all performed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up equipment and perform welding using electric arc or automatic wire feed processes
  • Inspect weld joints for quality and adherence to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Utilize tools and equipment such as plasma cutters, cutting torches, and measuring devices
  • Conduct visual inspections and repairs on products
  • Assist in testing and quality control processes
  • Maintain proper storage for company tools
  • Perform assembly and production duties with minimal supervision
