Overview

Key responsibilities

  • Set up welding machines based on job specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • MIG weld steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel components
  • Inspect equipment to maintain proper function
  • Follow and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications
  • Operate machinery used in the production process
  • Assemble items as directed
  • Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area
  • Uphold safety rules, OSHA standards, and quality standards
  • Prepare products for shipment

Required skills

  • Minimum 3 years experience in welding and fabrication
  • Proficient in MIG and TIG welding
  • Ability to read tape measure, calipers, and angle gauges
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of welding and fabrication of piping and structural steel
  • Familiarity with machines and tools
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 70 pounds
