Job Description

Overview

The Water/Wastewater Consultant at Communities Unlimited, Inc. will provide onsite technical assistance and training to rural community infrastructure systems addressing water and waste disposal challenges. The ideal candidate will assist in project planning, financing, and utility management, primarily serving communities in the Woodward, OK area.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide onsite technical assistance to 15-20 rural communities and small water/wastewater systems.
  • Develop and submit reports, project documentation, and technical analyses.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate community engagement efforts and meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and reporting standards.
  • Manage multiple priorities and contribute to communications and branding efforts.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, social sciences, management, public administration, or related field (prefe
  • Current Water or Wastewater Operator Certification (if applicable)
  • 1 year of experience (2-5 years for certification option)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Project and time management skills
  • Understanding of financial statements and budgeting
