Job Description

Overview

The John Cooper School is looking for an experienced Volleyball Program Head (Head Coach) to lead its volleyball program for students in grades six through twelve. The successful candidate will work under the Director of Athletics and will be responsible for fostering a positive team culture, player and program development, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and strategic planning of the volleyball program
  • Recruit, mentor, and supervise the coaching staff
  • Develop and manage practice and game protocols and procedures
  • Foster a positive team culture emphasizing integrity, leadership, and personal growth
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrative colleagues to support student-athletes
  • Promote the program's vision within the community
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
