Overview

Graham & Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Utility Operations Coordinator with experience in utility coordination for DOT highway projects. The role involves supporting various design and construction projects, collaborating with clients, and coordinating utilities and railroad efforts related to infrastructure improvements.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide support on design and construction projects related to capacity improvement and express lanes
  • Collaborate with Client Management and major program/project stakeholders
  • Oversee utility coordinators and design consultants
  • Coordinate with GDOT departments for roadway design and construction
  • Review GDOT utility permit applications and plans
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and the public to resolve utility conflicts
  • Negotiate consultant scope and review invoices
  • Encumber funds for utility and railroad agreements

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of six years of utility coordination experience
  • Knowledge of GDOT, ATLDOT, and AASHTO standards
  • Proficiency in reading GDOT and UAO construction plans
  • Strong knowledge of utility and roadway construction
  • Familiarity with GDOT permitting and plans production process
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Valid State of Georgia Driver's License
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred
  • Level 1A Certification preferred
