Overview

Truck Scale AdministratorThe Truck Scale Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the truck scale system to ensure accurate weight measurements, efficient transaction processing, and exceptional customer service. This role maintains compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements while supporting overall terminal operations.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor truck scale systems to accurately weigh inbound and outbound vehiclesRecord, verify, and process weight tickets and supporting documentationEnsure compliance with all local, state, and federal weight regulationsMaintain accurate daily logs, reports, and system recordsCoordinate closely with dispatch, warehouse, yard, and operations teams to ensure efficient workflowProvide professional and courteous service to truck drivers, vendors, and internal personnelProcess cash, credit, and billing transactions, as applicableIdentify and troubleshoot minor system or equipment issues; escalate maintenance needs as requiredMaintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the scale house and surrounding areaAssist with audits, reporting, and inventory reconciliation as neededProvide operational support during vessel activities as requiredQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferredPrior experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, or scale operations preferredBasic knowledge of weight regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements preferredStrong attention to detail with a high level of accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Office and scale management systemsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust possess or be eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
