Overview

Penske Logistics is seeking full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers in Ellington, Connecticut. This role offers drivers the opportunity to drive late model trucks, make local deliveries, and be home daily, while averaging $92,000 annually with various bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Key responsibilities

  • Make dock-to-dock deliveries of palletized grocery products
  • Ensure safety compliance while driving
  • Complete required schedules and maintain regular attendance
  • Represent Penske and its clients during deliveries
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance issues

Required skills

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • Ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • Knowledge of federal and state transportation laws and regulations
  • English language proficiency
