Overview

Penske Logistics is seeking a full-time Class A CDL Truck Driver with Hazmat endorsement for local deliveries in Roanoke, Virginia. This role involves operating late model trucks, performing multi-stop deliveries, and maintaining a professional demeanor with customers, while ensuring safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform multi-stop deliveries to various states including VA, KY, MD, WV, TN, and NC
  • Unload trailers using electric pallet jacks
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers
  • Adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations related to driving and safety

Required skills

  • Valid Class A CDL license
  • Hazmat endorsement
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to pass a DOT medical examination
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and practices
  • Physical ability to lift and move items up to 100lbs
