Overview

The Thixo Molding Technician Level I role at Clayens US LLC involves the basic operation of Thixomolding Press machines, ensuring quality and efficiency in the production process. Technicians will monitor equipment, maintain consistent machining cycle times, and support basic maintenance tasks within the production department in Loveland, Colorado.

Key responsibilities

  • Start, run, and stop Thixomolding Presses and complete required documentation
  • Ensure processed parts meet quality standards
  • Perform preventative and routine inspections of machinery
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings based on feedback screens
  • Operate Die Spray Tank and ice blaster for tool cleaning
  • Manage material feed and ensure accuracy during runs
  • Assist in set-up and tear-down of Thixomolding Press molds
  • Support operation of Thixomolding robots

Required skills

  • Experience in the injection molding industry
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Advanced process knowledge for making process changes
  • Understanding of part processing and robot operation
  • Diagnostics and repair skills for equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
  • Fundamentals of Injection Molding training
  • English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to operate forklift, hoist, and pallet jack
