You will travel to retail stores, complete project work according to client specifications, use a smartphone to receive and report assignments, and make sure each job is properly documented before leaving the location.The service territory can extend up to 90 miles from your home, so reliable transportation and flexibility are important.What This Role InvolvesRather than working at one fixed retail location, you will travel to stores as projects become available. Assignments can vary and may include new display installations, merchandising updates, equipment servicing, store resets, and repairs.Typical projects may involve:Installing or assembling retail fixtures and display structuresSetting up shelving, endcaps, signage, and branded displaysCompleting store resets and remodel-related merchandising workInstalling televisions and interactive retail equipmentSetting up kiosks and other technology displaysReplacing graphics, price cards, memory cards, and promotional materialsUpdating software and operating systems on display equipmentIdentifying and correcting display or equipment problemsPerforming basic break-fix work on fixtures and displaysFollowing store layouts, planograms, diagrams, and project instructionsPhotographing finished work for verificationSubmitting digital reports, surveys, and required project documentationYou may occasionally work with another technician or a larger installation crew, particularly on more involved projects.Work HoursAssignments are generally available Monday through Friday, with project schedules typically falling between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.Because this is an assignment-based position, available hours can change from week to week. Hours are not guaranteed and depend on client demand and available projects.Depending on business requirements, some assignments may take place:Early in the morningIn the eveningOn weekendsAround holidaysTechnicians should maintain at least 20 hours of availability during each rolling 30-day period.Managing Your AssignmentsField technicians are expected to take ownership of their schedules and assignments.You will be responsible for:Reviewing available work and maintaining an accurate availability scheduleAccepting and scheduling assignments within 48 hours when requiredCompleting projects within the assigned timeframeStaying in contact with field managementResponding to communications promptly, generally within 24 hoursReporting store conditions, project issues, and other exceptionsSubmitting accurate time and activity recordsCompleting required surveys and photographsFollowing project instructions from start to finishCompleting required online training and certificationsStrong organization is important because assignments, stores, and project requirements can vary.Travel & TransportationTechnicians must be prepared to travel throughout the assigned market.Travel expectations include:Up to 90 miles from your residenceMultiple retail locations depending on assignment needsReliable personal transportationValid driver's licenseCurrent automobile insuranceEligible drive time and mileage reimbursement are provided according to company guidelines.Physical DemandsThis is an active, hands-on field position.
