Job SummaryThe QA Team Lead is responsible for leading and overseeing the quality assurance efforts within Mercans software development process, ensuring the reliability and performance of its global payroll outsourcing and SaaS solutions. This role involves managing the QA team, defining and implementing testing strategies, ensuring software quality standards, and optimizing testing processes. The QA Team Lead will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to maintain high testing coverage and drive continuous improvement in QA practices, ensuring seamless payroll and HR software experiences for multinational enterprises.Duties and Responsibilities:Team Leadership and ManagementLead, mentor, and support the QA team to ensure efficient and effective testing processes tailored for global payroll and SaaS applications.Allocate tasks and resources within the team to align with development cycles and project priorities, ensuring compliance with international payroll regulations and business-critical HR operations.Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support team members professional growth in a fast-paced SaaS and payroll environment.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability within the QA team.Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills in test automation, security testing, AI/ML-driven testing, and performance testing.Identify and address skill gaps within the team and create upskilling plans to keep the team aligned with the latest QA methodologies and technologies.Drive initiatives to enhance cross-team collaboration, improving communication and efficiency between QA, development, product management, and DevOps teams.Testing and Quality AssuranceOversee feature testing for complex global payroll, HRM, and compliance-driven SaaS systems, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across multiple geographies and regulatory requirements.Define and implement testing methodologies, frameworks, and best practices that address industry-specific challenges, such as multi-currency transactions, tax compliance, and cross-border payroll complexities.Ensure systematic regression testing for release candidates to maintain software stability, accuracy, and compliance with payroll legislation.Review and validate test cases, test reports, and defect documentation to maintain high-quality standards that align with the critical needs of global payroll processing.Monitor software releases to ensure smooth deployments, tracking any potential issues and overseeing quick resolutions.Establish and enforce quality checkpoints throughout the software development lifecycle to detect defects at early stages.Develop test strategies for different types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, security, and usability testing.Implement exploratory testing practices to identify hidden defects and edge cases that automated tests may not capture.Define a defect management process to improve tracking, resolution efficiency, and reporting of bugs, ensuring timely fixes and mitigation strategies.Automation, AI/ML-based Testing, and Process OptimizationDrive test automation efforts, including UI and API test automation, utilizing appropriate tools and frameworks to support continuous payroll processing and HR system reliability.Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in testing processes and implement improvements that reduce errors in payroll calculations and reporting.Establish and maintain automated testing pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) of payroll SaaS solutions, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless user experiences.Develop automation frameworks for functional, performance, and security testing to streamline QA operations and increase test coverage.Optimize existing test scripts to enhance performance, reduce flakiness, and improve execution time.Evaluate and integrate AI/ML-driven testing tools to e
