Overview

As a Teacher at Carlos Gilbert Elementary with KinderCare Education, you will support elementary-aged children during out-of-school time, fostering their growth through educational and nurturing experiences. Your role will involve mentoring other teachers, implementing a tailored curriculum, and partnering with families to enhance children's learning and development.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom
  • Implement KinderCare's curriculum based on each child's needs
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment for play and learning
  • Partner with parents to provide the best care and education
  • Support center success by working towards enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, and community partners

Required skills

  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively
  • Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or NAEYC candidacy requirements
  • 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Physical ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
  • Effective communication skills in English
