We are a growing CPA firm seeking a highly experienced Tax Accountant with a strong background in U.S. and New York State tax compliance. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns Review bookkeeping work prepared by junior staff and ensure accuracy in financial records Manage and review sales tax filings and payroll tax compliance for clients in multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on New York State Collaborate with team members to support year-round planning and client advisory services Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior accounting staff Communicate directly with clients to resolve tax and compliance issues Required Qualifications Minimum 7 years of recent public accounting experience, with a primary focus on tax preparation and compliance Proven experience in reviewing bookkeeping, sales tax, and payroll tax filings Strong knowledge of U.S. Federal and New York State tax laws and regulations CPA license preferred (or in progress) Experience with tax software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte, or similar), QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 5 - 10 years Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
