Overview

ProHealth One is seeking a dedicated Wound Care Physician to join its team of healthcare professionals, focusing on wound management in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and Long-Term Care (LTC) centers. This role offers a patient-centered approach with predictable hours, no call, and no weekends, promoting a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide ongoing wound care management
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Document patient encounters in compliance with CMS and payer guidelines
  • Educate facility staff on wound prevention and treatment practices
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, SNF/LTC regulations, and facility policies
  • Serve as a clinical resource for advanced wound management techniques

Required skills

  • MD or DO with an active and unrestricted medical license
  • Wound Care Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Surgical experience preferred
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, or Geriatrics is a bonus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with patients and facility staff
