Overview

SSM Health is seeking an experienced radiologist to serve as Chief of Breast Imaging at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Department of Radiology. This leadership role involves overseeing a well-established breast imaging program and advancing patient care, education, and research within an academic medical center.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the breast imaging division, including clinical operations and strategic growth
  • Ensure adherence to FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) compliance
  • Provide expert interpretation of screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI
  • Perform image-guided breast procedures, including biopsies and localizations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive breast care
  • Mentor and teach medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Support clinical research and academic initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with ACR accreditation and regulatory standards

Required skills

  • MD or DO degree with board certification in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Fellowship training in Breast Imaging
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Missouri
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
