Overview

Ben's Structural Fabrication is seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join their team in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding structural components while adhering to quality and safety standards. Key responsibilities

  • Review and interpret shop drawings for weld type, size, and placement
  • Fabricate structural weldments according to specifications
  • Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment safely
  • Perform MIG welding on mild steel components
  • Prepare surfaces before and after welding
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Inspect work for quality conformance
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately
  • Support overall shop productivity through teamwork

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2+ years of MIG welding experience
  • Ability to pass a horizontal (2G) weld qualification test
  • Ability to read and interpret prints
  • Completion of a welding curriculum preferred
  • Experience welding in vertical up (3G) position preferred
