Overview

Ben's Structural Fabrication, Inc. is looking for a Structural Welder in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. This role involves fabricating and welding structural building components with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and collaboration within a high-performing team.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and interpret shop drawings for weld specifications
  • Fabricate structural weldments according to specifications
  • Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment safely
  • Perform MIG welding on mild steel components
  • Prepare surfaces before and after welding
  • Follow safety procedures and inspect work for quality conformance
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Complete required production and quality documentation
  • Lift and handle materials weighing 50-100 pounds
  • Provide backup support to other fabrication areas as needed

Required skills

  • MIG welding experience on steel surfaces
  • Ability to pass a horizontal weld qualification test
  • Ability to read and interpret prints
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience welding in vertical up position is preferred
  • Completion of a welding curriculum from an accredited technical college is preferred
