Overview

The Structural Mechanic IV at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation will play a vital role in the structural assembly of aircraft components. This position requires advanced skills in sheet metal repair, fabrication, and assembly in a team-oriented environment, ensuring compliance with company design specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform advanced sheet metal repair and structural fabrication using blueprints and OEM specifications.
  • Install and repair aircraft skin panels, frames, ribs, and bulkheads.
  • Use pneumatic and hydraulic tools for riveting and drilling operations.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
  • Mentor and assist other team members in structural assembly techniques.
  • Coordinate with supervision to ensure compliance with quality specifications and paperwork.
  • Plan and organize workloads to meet schedule expectations.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area adhering to safety regulations.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 years related structural assembly experience
  • Experienced in sheet metal repair and structural fabrication
  • Proficient with pneumatic and hydraulic tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with Solumnia and Smarteam
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and 5S principles
  • Good working knowledge of computers and related software
