Overview

As a Structural Mechanic II at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, you will perform various structural assembly operations under minimal supervision in a production environment. This role emphasizes quality adherence, safety, and teamwork to deliver high-quality aviation experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures
  • Conduct drilling and riveting operations ensuring parts meet requirements
  • Perform sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation of aircraft parts
  • Utilize rivet tools and equipment for structural assemblies
  • Read work orders, blueprints, sketches, and follow standard operating procedures
  • Check assemblies for defects and maintain logs and records
  • Align and assemble parts using jigs and fasteners
  • Make repairs and rework to ensure installations meet conformity
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area adhering to safety regulations

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years related structural assembly experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Basic computer and shop math skills
  • Attention to detail and professional attitude
  • Experience with pneumatic tools and rivet operations
  • Ability to work in small spaces, climb ladders, and lift 50 lbs
  • Familiarity with composite resins and materials
  • Excellent communication skills in English
