Structural Engineer (PE) Remote, Southwest US Structural Engineer (PE) Remote, Southwest US Location: Remote for candidates in AZ, CA, CO, HI, NM, NV, or UT. If you live within 50 miles of the Phoenix office, this is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in office. About the Role We are looking for a licensed Structural Engineer to join our design team and handle a significant share of the structural analysis and design on our projects. You will work closely with a Structural Lead, other engineers, and designers to develop design concepts, run the analysis, and get structural requirements into the design documents and model.This is a role built for growth. You will take on real ownership early, sharpen your technical and leadership skills alongside senior engineers, and be given as much responsibility as you are willing to take. What You Will Do Perform structural analysis and design under general supervision, including lateral analysis for wind and seismic loadsApply sound engineering judgment when selecting and adapting techniques, procedures, and criteriaOwn your portion of the structural scope, working reliably to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirementsCheck your own work carefully and perform calculation checks on other engineers' workDefine your scope, build your ability to forecast level of effort, and flag scope changes to your Structural LeadKnow when to ask for help, reaching out to peers and senior engineers for guidanceProvide technical guidance and mentorship to designers, drafters, and less experienced engineersHelp advance the tools, workflows, and technology used within the structural discipline What You Need Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasisProfessional Engineer license (PE or PEng)4+ years of structural engineering experienceExperience with US building codes: IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC, including seismic provisionsExperience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structuresExperience with structural analysis software, Navisworks, and BluebeamStrong written and verbal communication skillsReliable home internet sufficient for remote project work Nice to Have MS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis) or Structural EngineeringExperience with semiconductor or general industrial facilitiesExperience leading small teams Location and Work Setup You must live in the US Southwest: AZ, CA, CO, HI, NM, NV, or UT. Candidates within 50 miles of the Phoenix office report to the office 2 days per week.
