SUYASH has a dynamic team always striving to provide innovative and quality solutions to our clients.SuYash is actively seeking a Structural Engineering Project Manager with a BS in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering focus) to work in our Columbia, MD Office. The ideal candidate will lead and expand Structural Division, manage objectives of projects including scope, schedule and budget. Responsibilities: Perform structural analysis of bridge systems and components using Midas, AASHTOWare Bridge Rating, STAAD, Conspan, and other similar software tools. Assist and check design calculations performed by others. Work alongside our Structural Designers to develop structural details and construction plans using Microstation or AutoCAD Prepare geometric layouts, construction specifications, and material quantity calculations for bridge repair and replacement projects Perform bridge and other structure condition inspections and prepare inspection reports. Training and mentoring junior staff. Prepare and monitor schedules, budgets, accounts receivable and manpower requirements and prepares invoices. Develop and coordinate project scope. Oversee and manage technical resources on the project team. Participate in client presentations. Development of open-end contract task proposals. Coordinate and assist with marketing proposals. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related course work to Structural Engineering from ABET accredited university. Maryland Professional Engineer License. 10+ years of experience in structural design projects/bridge inspections. 5+ years of experience with MDOT SHA/MDTA highway design and/or Maryland Design-Build projects. This experience shall include the management of structural design projects. Candidates should be proficient with MS Office, MicroStation along with industry standard bridge design and analysis software. Experience working on MDOT-SHA, MDOT-MTA, MDTA, WMATA, VDOT, DDOT, WVDOH, or AMTRAK projects preferred. Experience working with local clients at the county and state level preferred. Project management and business development experience preferred. Experience managing multi-discipline project teams preferred. Demonstrated ability and experience in preparing Letter of Responses and Technical Proposals preferred. Excellent communication skills, including leading client presentations and interviews. Working Conditions Work is performed within a general office environment 90% of the time. Work may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
