Job Description

Overview

This is a senior-level structural engineering role focused on substation structures and foundations, with opportunities in both energy infrastructure and commercial building design. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and oversight of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for substation structures and foundations
  • Support BESS and data center-related structural projects
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project teams to ensure coordinated designs
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, designers, and drafters
  • Participate in project meetings and client communication
  • Review drawings and ensure quality and accuracy of deliverables
  • Interface with contractors during construction for RFIs, clarifications, and issue resolution
  • Support project management efforts, including timelines and profitability

Required skills

  • B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering
  • 7 or more years of experience with design of concrete and steel structures
  • Substation structure and foundation design experience
  • Ability to work independently with proper engineering oversight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
