Overview

Ross Stores is seeking a Store Protection Specialist in Mesquite, Texas, to contribute to the safety and security of their retail environment. This role focuses on preventing theft and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers while embodying the company's commitment to diversity and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for associates and customers.
  • Provide visible presence at store entrances and throughout the sales floor.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service by greeting customers and addressing their needs.
  • Monitor for potential theft and address suspicious behavior.
  • Educate and train associates on loss prevention initiatives.
  • Support compliance with loss prevention directives to minimize operational shortage.

Required skills

  • High School education or equivalent; AA degree preferred.
  • One year of retail supervisor experience or equivalent training preferred.
  • One year of loss prevention/security training preferred.
  • Active Security Guard License preferred.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service capabilities.
