The Opportunity: We are looking for Versatile, curious, and energetic Software Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale. As a Visa Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of powerful payment technology, you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions. The Work itself: Build and maintain AI-powered platforms, tools, and services that solve engineering productivity and customer challenges Implement solutions leveraging agentic AI, LLMs, and machine learning to automate workflows and improve software quality Create APIs, integrations, and platform capabilities that enable AI features across CMS products Develop scalable services that integrate AI into commercial payment and money movement systems for B2B, B2C, P2P, and G2C use cases Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for AI integration and drive adoption Participate in experimentation with new AI technologies and contribute to technical standards Work on both internal engineering tools and customer-facing AI features Essential Functions: Works with product owners to gather and refine requirements across CMS products, considering existing tools and solutions Develops and designs moderately advanced solutions that are robust, scalable, and integrate AI capabilities with Visa's technical ecosystem Provides domain expertise on AI/ML technologies and their application to engineering and customer problems Plays a significant role in the development and delivery of new features within products from end-to-end Contributes to technical decision-making for AI adoption and standards The Skills You Bring: Energy and Experience: A growth mindset that is curious and passionate about technologies and enjoys challenging projects on a global scale Challenge the Status Quo: Comfort in pushing the boundaries, 'hacking' beyond traditional solutions AI Experience: Familiarity with agentic AI, LLMs, AI frameworks, or machine learning applications Language Expertise: Expertise in one or more general development languages (e.g., Java, C#, C++) Builder: Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability Learner: Constant drive to learn new technologies such as Angular, React, Kubernetes, Docker, etc. Partnership: Experience collaborating with Product, Test, Dev-ops, and Agile/Scrum teams We do not expect that any single candidate would fulfill all of these characteristics.
