Job Description

Overview

The Senior Systems Analyst/Network Engineer at Public Health Dayton & Montgomery is responsible for ensuring the security, compliance, and functionality of Microsoft 365 services, while optimizing a hybrid IT infrastructure that connects on-premises networks with cloud services. The role includes installing, maintaining, and updating core infrastructure as well as providing technical support and managing project activities related to mission-critical applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee security and compliance of Microsoft 365 services
  • Optimize hybrid IT infrastructure and manage on-premises networks
  • Install and maintain firewalls and core infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and manage user permissions
  • Lead in maintaining and implementing infrastructure supporting Public Health
  • Monitor network status and ensure security
  • Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements
  • Assist with business process analysis and vendor oversight
  • Participate in professional growth activities

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • Four years of experience in information systems management or eight years of progressively increasing experience
  • Experience in computer systems administration, network security, and system design
  • Microsoft 365 experience including tools like Defender, Sentinel, and Entra ID
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture
  • Experience with LAN/WAN and VoIP systems
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident response practices
  • Valid State of Ohio driver's license
