Overview

As a Sr. Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will be at the forefront of creating responsible and reliable AI systems that are transforming banking. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and support AI-powered products, leveraging advanced AI technologies to enhance customer interactions and associate workflows.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including engineers and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage a wide range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
  • Implement state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 6+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
  • Proficient in programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience in designing and developing complex AI systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
