Overview

As a Sr. Distinguished AI Engineer at Capital One, you will play a pivotal role in creating responsible and reliable AI systems, leveraging your expertise to enhance customer interactions and improve internal processes. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver AI-powered products that drive innovation within the banking sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop AI-powered products
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Leverage a stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies
  • Invent and introduce optimization techniques for large scale production AI systems
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields
  • 10+ years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, Scala, or Java programming languages
  • Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
  • Knowledge of AI technologies including LLM Inference, Similarity Search, VectorDBs, Guardrails
  • Strong expertise in optimizing training and inference software
