Overview

The United States Secret Service is seeking special agents who are courageous, intelligent, and determined individuals ready to balance investigative missions and protective responsibilities. Special agents will carry out assignments in investigations and protection, potentially across various duty stations both domestically and internationally.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide protection for various protectees.
  • Conduct criminal investigations related to financial obligations of the United States.
  • Plan and implement security designs for National Special Security Events.

Required skills

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Valid driver's license
  • Firearms proficiency
  • Ability to obtain and retain Top Secret Clearance
  • Physical fitness requirements including visual and hearing acuity
  • Completion of extensive training at Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and specialized training at James J. Rowley
