Overview

CFS is seeking an experienced Software Development Team Lead to guide a team of engineers while remaining hands-on in full-stack development. The ideal candidate will possess strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript and have a proven record in designing and deploying Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions. This role requires excellent communication skills and a focus on mentoring junior developers, collaboration, and continuous improvement in a family-oriented culture that values technology.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers through coaching and technical guidance.
  • Remain hands-on with full-stack development using modern programming languages.
  • Design, develop, and deploy RPA solutions at scale with a focus on maintainability and security.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and actionable tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define product roadmaps and influence direction.
  • Champion best practices in software architecture, secure coding, and CI/CD.
  • Stay current on advancements in AI/ML and emerging technologies.
  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of new tools and frameworks to improve productivity.
  • Present technical concepts and project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts around performance, scalability, and code quality.

Required skills

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience
  • 2+ years in a lead, senior, or technical leadership role
  • Strong experience coding in Java
  • Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript libraries (Vue.js, React, Angular)
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems
  • Experience with modern DevOps and CI/CD practices (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical plans and execution strategies
