Job Description Job Description SMT OperatorThis role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment to support efficient electronic assembly operations. The SMT Operator will ensure product quality, minimize downtime, and maintain accurate production records while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work.Requirements of the SMT Operator3-5 years of experience operating SMT equipment in a manufacturing environment preferredBilingual English/Spanish preferredExperience with pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovensStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to identify defects and maintain high quality standardsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced production environmentResponsibilities of the SMT OperatorSet up and operate SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovensLoad components and verify correct materials are used according to production requirementsMonitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain efficiency and qualityInspect circuit boards for proper component placement and defectsPerform routine equipment cleaning and preventative maintenanceTroubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate more complex problems as neededFollow production schedules while minimizing downtime and maximizing outputMaintain accurate production and quality records1st shift, DIRECT HIRE Pay is $22.00 - $25.00 hourly, based on experience If you have an open application with Matthews Professional Employment, Inc., please express your interest in this position to your consultant.
