Overview

The H&K Group is seeking a Small Tools Mechanic for their Structures Division in Douglassville, Pennsylvania. This role involves performing service and maintenance on small gas, diesel, and electric-powered hand tools, while adhering to safety policies and maintaining operational integrity. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and service on small gas, diesel, and electric powered hand tools.
  • Adhere to OSHA/MSHA and company safety policies.
  • Keep records of hour meter readings for power equipment.
  • Complete scheduled servicing and maintain all tools in working order.
  • Report inspection findings to small tools superintendent.
  • Overhaul small gas and diesel engines.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work site and tools.
  • Train on use and maintenance of new tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of related experience or training
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use mechanical hand and power tools
  • Computer skills to learn and use different software
  • Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE
  • Physical ability to meet job requirements
