Job Description

Overview

The Site Director at DFM Solutions will oversee all integrated facility and manufacturing support services at a key EV battery manufacturing facility in Marshall, Michigan. This leadership role involves significant accountability for operational performance, workforce execution, and alignment with production targets during the critical launch and ramp-up phases.

Key responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end performance of site services supporting manufacturing uptime and production readiness.
  • Lead a 200 employee workforce across multiple shifts in a 24/7 operation.
  • Align facility operations with production schedules and plant priorities.
  • Lead site services through commissioning, startup, and full production ramp-up.
  • Partner with plant leadership to ensure services align with manufacturing goals.
  • Manage operational disruptions and escalate critical issues impacting operations.
  • Interface with OEM leadership and build strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Full P&L ownership for a multi-million-dollar operation, focusing on labor strategy and cost control.
  • Lead, develop, and maintain a strong safety culture across the workforce.

Required skills

  • 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing or facility operations
  • Experience leading 150-300 employees in multi-shift operations
  • Direct experience in startup, commissioning, or large-scale launch environments
  • Strong background in manufacturing environments
  • Preferred experience in EV, battery, automotive, chemical, or cleanroom manufacturing
  • Strong financial acumen with full P&L responsibility
