Job Description

Overview

The Site Director at DFM Solutions will oversee all integrated facility and manufacturing support services at a high-profile EV battery manufacturing facility during critical launch and ramp-up phases. This role is crucial for ensuring workforce execution, facility readiness, and operational performance in a fast-paced, milestone-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end performance of all site services supporting manufacturing uptime and production readiness
  • Lead a workforce of over 200 employees across multiple shifts in a 24/7 operation
  • Align facility operations with production schedules and plant priorities
  • Lead site services through commissioning, startup, and full production ramp-up
  • Partner with plant leadership to ensure alignment with manufacturing goals and production milestones
  • Manage operational disruptions and serve as the primary escalation point for critical issues
  • Interface with OEM leadership and executive stakeholders to build strong relationships
  • Full P&L ownership for a multi-million-dollar operation
  • Drive efficiency while maintaining service quality and safety standards
  • Lead, develop, and scale a multi-discipline workforce while fostering a strong safety culture

Required skills

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial services, or facility operations
  • Experience leading 150-300+ employees in multi-shift operations
  • Direct experience supporting startup, commissioning, or large-scale launch environments
  • Strong background in manufacturing environments
  • Preferred experience in EV, battery, automotive, chemical, or cleanroom manufacturing
  • Experience supporting OEM environments such as Ford or GM
  • Strong financial acumen with full P&L responsibility
  • Ability to lead in high-pressure, high-visibility environments
